“Power Speech – Dlaczego Energetyka Jądrowa?”
Women in Nuclear Polska and IGEOS Nuclear invite students of technical universities to take part in a competition held as part of the 4th Nuclear Power Industry Congress. The competition is conducted in Polish.
Who can apply and what is the goal?
The competition is open to students aged 18 or over enrolled in first-cycle, second-cycle or long-cycle master’s programmes at technical universities in Poland.
Its aim is to promote knowledge and creativity in nuclear energy and encourage young people to pursue education in this field.
The Selection Committee will choose 8 finalists. Each finalist will deliver a speech of up to five minutes before the audience and jury. Entries will be judged on substantive value, clarity and impact, creativity, and audience engagement.
How to apply
Complete the application form and provide:
- personal details, university, course and year of study,
- a proposed speech title,
- a short substantive abstract – up to 150 words (½ page),
- a description of the creative presentation format.
Prizes
Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place, plus one distinction:
- dinner with Bechtel management to discuss careers and Poland’s first nuclear power plant project,
- a study visit to Mostostal Siedlce and a meeting with the president, including nuclear-island mock-ups,
- a PEJ study visit to the future Lubiatowo–Kopalino nuclear power plant site in the Choczewo municipality,
- lunch with Westinghouse management and engineers to discuss careers and the first nuclear power plant project.
All 8 finalists will receive free admission to the 4th Nuclear Power Industry Congress (13–14 October 2026) and surprise educational prizes.
